The Wittenberg Trail

C.F.W. Walther was born on October 25, 1811.  If you would like to keep up with some of the events being planned for his special birthday celebration, or if you would like to learn more about his life, there is a Facebook group called "C.F.W. Walther - 200th Birthday".  I encourage you to add what you know about Walther to that page.

Check out the WT blog, Walther - the Movie.
Thanks.  A lot of the Walther movie is being filmed just down the road from me at the Saxon Lutheran Memorial.  That project should be very helpful in making our Synod more aware of this part of its history.  I'm looking forward to seeing it.  There will be a special worship service held at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Louis on Sunday, Oct. 23rd at 3 pm.  President Harrison will be preaching.  There are bus tours and other events being planned for the St. Louis and Perry County areas.
Are there any plans to netcast that Oct. 23 service at Historic Trinity, like they did the SP installation service at Concordia last year?
I'm looking for an answer to that question.  I will let you know the answer when I find out.
A gentleman at the International Center who is more or less coordinating CFW Birthday events has told me that he would be looking into the possibility of streaming that event.  He said it would have to be a joint effort involving both Concordia Seminary and Trinity.  The decision would be made as we get closer to the time of the service.
Is there any word on whether there will be a netcast of the Oct. 23 service at Historic Trinity celebrating the 200th anniversary of Walther's birthday?
I have not heard.  I think I would have by now if there were any plans for that.
