I am a Fraser, Michigan transplant. I live in southern Illinois and still have family back home. I hope to keep abreast on all things southeastern Lutheran Michigan.

Can I join? While I consider myself a citizen of Heaven, and I'm a permanent resident of Japan, I was born in Detroit 50 years ago! Lived in the suburbs til I was 11, and most of the time when I visit the States I use Metro Airport! Michigan is the BEST place on earth!

I'm an Allen Park, Michigan transplant now in Southeast Kansas. I grew up attending school and church at Mount Hope in Allen Park and then Detroit Lutheran High West (Class of '80). Any one else from the southwest side around?

Hi,

How about those Red Wings!

I was born and raised in Det. I attended Bethany, Det; Lutheran East, Harper Woods (76); Concordia Univ. Ann Arbor; I served at St. Luke, Clinton Twp as Sr. Pastor for 5 years.... I now live outside of St. Louis, but I hope I can still be here as a Michigander. :)

I may live out in mid-Missouri but as long as American Coney Island is still serving Coneys (the only true coney island hotdog), fries and beer, my heart will always be downtown.

Dear Fellow Michiganders:
Today I was nominated by the Michigan Republican Party for the STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION. If you register to vote before October 6, you will have opportunity to vote for (or against) me on November 4. I support School Choice, home schooling, and all that good stuff.
Cordially,
Dr. Richard Zeile

Greetings,
My interest in this group involves the possibility of moving to the Metro Detroit area in the next two years. As a pastor who has been without a parish for far too long I had to find work in the federal government to make ends meet. However, I found full time civilian work only with an army agency that is being moved to Warren, MI from Rock Island, IL in the next two years. I am inclined to appreciate the move, my wife would be closer to family in Toronto, but my son does not want to move any time soon.
I need to find more positive reasons for staying employed with my organization as it moves to Warren, or reasons to turn it down and look for other work. I have been doing vacancy work in Davenport for 5 years now and have no prospects of ever receiving a full-time call again, or even a definite official call to a part-time ministry.
Could anyone in the "Tri-county" area use a worker-priest?

Does anybody in the Detroit area have some medium-sized card board boxes suitable for packing?

Thank you,

Eric

Are you getting out of DodgeDetroit, Eric?
I know you don't want to drive to Holly. So I will tell you the best way to get boxes.
Call your local stores and find out their delivery days and they will hold them for you.
If you make your request clear and state a time for pick up. Managers are the best to coordinate this with and most obliging.
Happy packing and (moving?)
God bless!

What's you time frame, Eric? I assume you're starting at Ft. Wayne in late August or early September? I'll start grabbing them when I see them at work.
