The Past Holy week was the first Holy week I have ever attended. I was in awe. I had many emotions, sorrow over my sins. The sure knowledge that The God-Man had fear, his human flesh felt many emotions. He asked three times for this cup, be removed from him, He knew what was in store for him. His sacrifice, The Lamb of God, knew fear. At each of the three petitions He stated not my will but your will be done In the Garden Scene as written by Luke, Christ Prayed” if you are willing take this cup from me, yet not my will but yours be done”. This Simple prayer of Christ in perfect subjection to the Fathers will. The lesson of Holy week for me was, “yet not my will but yours be done”. Many of us need to face the fact; we are not bending our knees to his will. Are we just “Sunday Lutherans” or are we learning to live those words, “ yet not my will but yours be done”. The entire Holy week taught me, about bending my stiff neck, bending my sinful knee, and giving thanks always for his sacrifice.

Here is a sentence that was part of the Lutheran Hour message I read today: "What I can do is recognize your state of mind and heart, and, by God's grace and through the support of countless souls who already know the Savior and keep this broadcast on the air, tell you what Scripture has told us." I thought that was interesting stuck in the middle of things.
