God delights in our temptations, and yet hates them; he delights in them when they drive us to prayer; he hates them when they drive us to despair. The Psalm says: An humble and contrite heart is an acceptable sacrifice to God. Therefore, when it goes well with you, sing and praise God with a hymn: goes it evil, that is, does temptation come, then pray: ?For the Lord has pleasure in those that fear him;and that which follows is better: and in them that hope in his goodness, for God helps the lowly and humble, seeing he says: Thinkest thou my hand is shortened that I cannot help? He that feels himself weak in faith, let him always have a desire to be strong therein, for that is a nourishment which God relishes in us. Luthers Table Talk XC

Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church; it is a goodly Christian weapon. Martin Luther

The fewer the words, the better the prayer. Martin Luther

Dear brothers, you should never doubt your prayer, thinking that it might have been in vain, for I tell you truly that before you have uttered the words, the prayer is already recorded in heaven. Therefore you should confidently expect from God one of two things: either that your prayer will be granted, or, that if it is not granted, the granting of it would not be good for you.
St. Bernard of Clairvaux

A way of praying according to God's will (Lk 22:42; 1 Jn 5:14-15).

Prayer should be the key of the day and the lock of the night.

Put it in God's inbox, and don't take it out of there!

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" St. Matthew 6:25, 26 NIV.

"34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." St. Matthew 6:34 NIV

"Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit." St. Mark 13:11 NIV
