Oh, and to add even more substance, what you guys are doing reaches beyond Lutheranism, Craig. I've had a Reformed Baptist express to me appreciation for the show. He especially appreciated Luther's treatment of the Sabbath. KEEP IT REDLINED, BABY!

I've been listening from time to time. You guys have way to much fun. Although I wonder, rather than whisper aren't we suppose to shout it from the rooftops. But since I am a loud talker myself, my whispers sound like shouts as much as yours.

Great show - the episode on the 6th commandment was the best explanation of it I've heard.

Love the show. I'm almost caught up on listening. I've made it to episode 14. You definitely prove that learning can be fun.

Nah. Even better. It reaches out with Lutheranism.

Fire officials with a ladder truck were called Wednesday after an 11-year-old boy who became angry with a teacher crossed the street and climbed the roof of an LDS Church building in Layton.

LAYTON — An 11-yearold boy who feared he would be punished for striking his teacher with a yardstick caused quite a commotion on Antelope Drive on Wednesday when police say he ran across the street from his school, scaled a church and refused to come down.
Both Layton police and fire departments responded to the incident around noon.
When an officer also climbed onto the roof to retrieve the boy, the child jumped off the roof, falling about 10 feet and landing on a grassy area, said Layton Police Lt. Quinn Moyes.
“Just out of precaution … they did take him to McKay-Dee Hospital,” Moyes said. “He wasn’t jumping to hurt himself, but to get away from the officers.”
The boy attends Lincoln Elementary, which is separated from a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building by four lanes of busy traffic on Antelope Drive.
After the altercation with the teacher, he ran across the street, scaled a chain-link fence and climbed onto the church roof. He was running from school officials, Moyes said.
Police and his parents were called.
“His parents were contacted, and they arrived on scene,” Moyes said. “We began to ask him to come down. … He was frightened that he would be in trouble if he came down.”
Moyes said the boy threw something — shingle particles or pebbles that he found on the roof — onto the road.
“One vehicle was dam aged, but nobody was hurt,” he said.
After that incident, an officer got on the roof.
“(The boy) saw the officer and — again, not to hurt himself, but to flee — then jumped,” Moyes said.
The case will be screened by juvenile court, he said. Moyes said the boy’s parents revealed the child has had some behavioral problems.
Lincoln Elementary officials referred all questions to the Davis School District. Both district and Layton Fire Department officials declined to comment, citing privacy laws.
