Tell us about yourself ( e.g. hobbies, education, projects you are working on, etc.). What brings you to the Wittenberg Trail?
I am married with three young children. I work in the IT field at this point in my career having recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Information System Security. My past involvement as a life-long LCMS Lutheran has been as a member of choir, a Sunday School teacher, a VBS teacher, a youth Bible Study leader, a co-Youth Director, a FGAL for NYG, a CLB for NYG (chosen 3 three time, served twice), an instrumentalist for special services, various church committees and an elder.

My oldest daughters attend Redeemer Lutheran in Green Bay where we are members. The decision to enroll them in a Lutheran school has proven to be an excellent one.

Being a part of the WTOC has allowed me to learn many things about the Lutheran faith that I wasn't "aware" of other than in passing. My desire is to learn more in order to serve in my current role and to also grow in my relationship with Christ. I also feel it is important to have a greater understanding of the teachings of the confessional LCMS in order to properly teach my children and help others grow in their faith - especially since I have wondered from time to time if the pastoral ministry may be in the future plans one day.

Sarah Palin survey

Not sure it warrants a discussion thread but wanted to make those who are interested aware.

This is cross-posted on my blog Try 2 Focus.

As part of my Research Methods class I had to create and administer a survey as part of a required project. I have therefore created a survey to find out how people view Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to complete survey.

Welcome to the Lutheran Confessions Study Group, Brad!
I need to ask you? What does WTOC mean? We have so many abbreviations in Lutheranism, don't we? I'm starting to learn many of them, but this is a new one for me.
I hope you'll get involved in the discussions we have in the Study Group.

I just finished reading (and commenting on) your blog "What's up with Texas?" Great job! May the Lord preserve you safe - and faithful! - in the holy Faith!

Hey, thanks for visiting. I must have missed you-- were you the one with three little girls talking to Pastor Ahlemeyer? I have to admit I'm not very good with names, so if I shook hands with you after the service and just don't remember the name, I apologize. Blessings on the move to GB, and I hope to see/meet you again soon. Pete Speckhard
