"Dr. Adams, thanks for the support. Pastor Gunia, glad you like the app and I thought your suggestions would make for a really useful update. Daniel, so many apps so little time. Let's go crank 'em out."

"Brian, I read over my last posts and it seems I didn't give you appropriate props for the Cwrila app. It's a lot of fun and I enjoy it. Good theology from Pastor Cwirla. Thanks for making the app."

Dr. George C. Adams commented on Brian Yamabe's blog post This or THAT Church
"Brian: I hope you can refine your video with Pastor Gunia and Daniel's help. The Jesus First video is, like their recent vicious attack on Pastor Harrison's stewardship, part of a thoroughly disingenuous and propaganda strategy that needs…"

"Pastor Gunia, I will look into a work-around for the automatic shut-off. The sound cut-off when exiting the app is a limitation of the iPhone. The new iOS 4.0 has a solution for this limitation which does sound like a good for something I can do for…"

This or THAT Church

I saw a video from Jesus first called "THAT Church." It kind of rang a bell so I threw this together as a…

The Cwirla iPhone App

I received approval last Friday evening for my first two iPhone Applications (they work on the iPod Touch and should work on the iPad when it is released). The inspiration for the Apps came from Pastor Todd Wilken when, after discussing the video I made "There's a Pastor for That", wished for a "Cwirla App" for his iPod Touch. Well, I couldn't resist the…

Is it a Sin that there is no Japanese-American LCMS Caucus?

This post is my opinion and does not claim to speak for the < .1% of Japanese-American LCMS members ;-)

I just got an email from LCMS news with an article entitled Non-white Lutherans share concerns, ask for voice and I'm mad because I'm a non-white Lutheran and nobody asked me to share my concerns or asked for my voice. The synod has the Board for Black Ministry Services, the Black Clergy Caucus, and the Center…

LCMS Regional Gathering – Part 2

This is the second part of my report on the LCMS Regional Gathering for the CNH, Northwest, PSW, and English districts. Part 1 can be found here.

More Notables

Someone else asked a written question regarding the change from "Exclusive use of doctrinally pure agenda, hymnbooks, and catechisms in church and school." to "Use of worship and catechetical resources that are in harmony with the confessional… Continue

LCMS Regional Gathering – Part 1

I wasn't sure if I was going to write a report on the LCMS Regional Gathering for the CNH, Northwest, PSW, and English districts because there have already been reports (here, here, here, and here) that did a good job of covering them in general. However, I think I have something to add to… Continue

Julie is my bride of almost 18 years. I know Bobby. I'm an Ann Arbor grad as well. Say hi to him! I was in San Jose not that long ago. Hope to visit the area again soon.

You have two real cute daughters. I'll bet big sister does everything she can to to help take care of little sister.

Welcome to the Golf group. I don't know why you'd ever want to leave sunny California for Wisconsin, but if you do ever find yourself here look me up and we can play a little golf.

Music and doctrinal minimalism. I once mentioned the word doctrine at a couples night at the Evangelical church and just got blank stares.

Brian,

Thanks for putting up the site wittenbergmedia.org. It looks like it will be a great resource.

Thanks for buying the CD. I remember downloading the show, but I can't find it in my hard drive.

Blessings to you,

Brian;
Just a suggestion on the file names for Wittenburg Media.

If you use a format such as
Historic Liturgy.1.mp3
Historic Liturgy.2.mp3
...
Historic Liturgy.10.mp3

Using periods and Arabic numbers instead of Roman these will sort properly on folks computers.
(not to be anti-Catholic!)
