thanks for the message. I'm glad we at Faith can continue to support you and your studies for the pastoral ministry. This site is great.
I'm sad we don't have issues, etc. to help supplement our Christ centered Cross focused preaching. It's terrible that the synod leadership continues to LIE on why the program was removed.
Hey, cool you are at Luther Memorial. Roy Askins was there. Is that becoming the CUW-Fort Wayne vicarage spot? Anyways, it is a great church. I wish it was taking CSL vicars I would love to work at that congregation on my vicarage. It is confessional, has a solid college ministry.
Anyways, in regards to closed communion at CUW. I just know that having had conversations with Pastor Smith, he said that he would deny a person communion. This came up because I knew of a person who was treading towards synergism. He said he wouldn't commune this person. I didn't mention the name. I wanted to talk with the person a bit first, she later rescinded her beliefs before she had her next opportunity to take communion.
In other words, they say that they do practice close communion. Whether they go through with it or not is another question.
Hi Vicar, Betsy Schroeder referred me over to you. :) I'm going to be attending CUW shortly and am hoping to attend services in Shorewood. Do you know if there is a carpool to Luther Memorial currently? Do you have any advice? Thank you!!
