"Geof: Thanks for the message. It's good to hear from you. Only a few more weeks before we leave on tour (only 11 singers this year plus one pastor and one vicar joining us). We'll be on our way to Florida. Henry Gerike"

"Hi Henry, I echo Rev. Cody's comments. Nothing sounds like the Sem Chorus does, and singing in church choirs these days (even men's groups), while still enjoyable, just isn't the same. I still sing along to the CDs while I sit in my…"

Prof. Gerike, I enjoy the Seminary Chours and when you did the Hymn study on Issues,Etc. I like to learn about the history of hymns and it was so nice to learn from you. Welcome to the Wittenberg Trail.

Ah, Henry, old friend, how are you? We're going on, what, 22 years now? I noticed there is a new CD out. I'll have to get myself a copy next time I'm in St. Louis. Nice to see you in here. Cheers. ~~ Shawn

Hello Henry! It was good to see you last fall when I was in town for the vicarage supervisors conference. I pray all is well with you at CPH and CSL, especially for the brass choir!

Peace,

Henry,

Good to see you on this site! I hope all is well with you and your work in the Lord. Sure miss the sem chorus and the sweet sound we used to make to the Lord. Once you've had a taste of the sem chorus--nothing else seems to satisfy!

Henry, I join the assembly of saints militant who praise and bless you and your holy, Lutheran work at Concordia Seminary. God has blessed you in so many ways: Your musical gifts, your winning personality, your orthodox Lutheranism. I will never forget the time you sang "Love Me Tender" when we were on tour. The little, old ladies went ga-ga! I look forward to that great day when you will be directing us in that great chorus in the sky! Alleluia!

This is most certainly true.

Yes, Republic is just a bit west of Springfield. I still make it to St. Louis when I can, but the trips seem to be fewer and faster.
