LPC replied to Dave Gosse's discussion Logic and Lutherans in the group Defending the Faith
"I agree with that. In the end the Word of God is the one that converts men by the power of the HS. However, the reason in favor of the Christian faith establishes the ground for the entrance of the Word of God to come in. I was an atheist while I…"

"Pr Ernst, Do you know of the Lutherans massacred in Seville? Apparently there were Protestants of the Augsburg Confession that got killed by the Inquisition there. Any pointers to where I can read about this would be good. LPC"

I am an ex-Pentecostal pastor for many years but I was born and raised in an RC home. For many years I was looking for a confession I can subscribe to and I even toyed with Calvinism. A turn of events made me retreat from this pursuit and made me find a home with the Book of Concord, a confession I can confess. My web site is http://extranos.blogspot.com' .

I just ran across your blog a couple of weeks ago. Don't remember how I found it...just that I appreciated it. It's in my favorites, soon to be linked on my blog.

Thank you Pr. Kurt for linking my blog to yours. I am deeply humbled that you find the blog useful. I will visit yours often too and comment.

I am an ex-pastor so I know how you labor and am no stranger to the awesome responsibility so I pray that God our Father may grant you endless joy in the midst of toils and snares as you share the saving Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in whose name I pray. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers and your encouraging words.

And, yes, I do know Betty Butterfield. I don't remember laughing as hard as I did the first time I saw the video you mentioned. Not sure if she's ready for "prime time" however.

I like it when she says of Luther going on a diet of worms, and how that takes real commitment ... to eat nothing but worms, ...for the Lowred.

"Hi Pr. David,
Do you have any more Kurt Marquart articles and lectures in mp3/wav file
LPC"

I host only the four recordings from Kurt Marquart's 1997 lectures that you have already found on my web site:

http://tinyurl.com/2u6d7s

However, Issues, Etc., does have additional recordings by Marquart in their program archives, from several times when he was a guest on their radio program:

Just do a search for his name.

It's always my pleasure to confess Christ, and to share with others the message of salvation in his name alone. The Internet gives us a chance to do this in some remarkable ways! I wish you well, my friend.
