Seminarian Evan Goeglein and I are working on a new radio program called "Table Talk Radio". You can hear the show and learn more here: www.tabletalkradio.org. We're also on Pirate Christian Radio every Tuesday before Issues, Etc.

Mission: Southern Africa is an endeavor to raise $500,000 dollars (to be matched by LC-MS World Relief and Human Care) to help support and expand the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Pretoria, South Africa and two mercy projects in South Africa and Botswana. If you are interested in learning more or supporting the project you may find more information on the Rocky Mountain District web site: www.ignitingchurchandcultureforchrist.org

14 Theses on Lutheran Evangelism

For discussion or debate, I offering the following...

1. The Scriptures rightly understood give all glory to God and all comfort to terrified consciences. False doctrine does the opposite, either taking glory from God or comfort from the conscience, or both.

2. Natural man is blind, dead, and an enemy of God (Anthropology, Original Sin), and therefore cannot cooperate with God in conversion. It must be stated plainly that the will of man plays no part in conversion.… Continue

The Worship of Death

I interviewed Dr James Nestigen for Table Scraps yesterday. We spoke of Law, Gospel, the Ten Commandments and Their Societal Implications. Here is a gem:

"When we begin to worship our bodies we worship something that dies, and we become the servants of death." -Dr James Nestigen

Wow. This is an insight that deserves further reflection.

You can here the whole interview at our website:… Continue

Isaac Karl Wolfmueller

Friends,

God be praised, Isaac Wolfmueller was born on Thursday. He and his mother are doing fantastic.

The Word of God, "Be fruitful and multiply" continues to bear good fruit. Isaac will enjoy the benefit of another efficacious word next Sunday, "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Thank you for all your prayers. Lord's Blessings,
Pr Bryan Wolfmueller

Table Talk Ablaze!

On this weeks edition we take up a question from Pastor Seth for the Phillippines about the Ablaze! (tm) program. Then a little Bible Bee, Don't Forget the Lyrics, and something else. But I thought you guys would like the little discussion about Ablaze! (tm). Thanks, as always, for listening.

Hi, Bryan. We met at an installation at Our Savior in Cheyenne. BTW, I've thoroughly enjoyed your topics on Issues, Etc. Nice work. A blessed New Year to you. Pax tecum.

Hi, Pastor W. I met you in Casper, WY a year ago in January but felt I knew you already from hearing you on Issues Etc. I have always appreciated your teaching (which I have been sharing with my congregation at Zion in Laramie). It makes me wonder if the cancellation of Issues Etc. has additionally insulted all the speakers who havew appeared on the show--do you feel slighted along with Pastor Todd and Jeff?

Pastor,

I love reading your articles and thoroughly enjoyed your presentations on Issues Etc. I feel I know you even though we've never met. I appreciate your service to our Lord and I hope you make down to Plano, TX sometimes.

keep up the good work. We need faithful Pastors like you since the synod wishes to rid itself of great programs like Issues Etc.

If I ever make it to CO I will be sure to attend your church for the Divine Service.

Pastor Wolfmueller,
I believe we talked several years ago at the arrangement of Pastor Golter! (who arranges things as a hobby :) Cliff and I live in San Diego and became LCMS about 10 years ago. You might even know Cliff's nephew Justin? I'm listed on the Trail as just Lori.

Pastor Wolfmueller! Good to hear from you! I enjoyed reading your blog this morning.
We did offer our cd through RMD last Christmas. We hoped to raise funds for the SA Sem but there was limited time. Hopefully this year we can generate more interest!
I'm also highly interested in Friends of Mercy that Pastor Mark Sell is running. Do you know about it?
We have Compassion kids in Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya..we have a real love for all of Africa. It's so cool that you traveled there, maybe someday we will do the same! I'd love to visit our sponsored children!

Hi, Pastor W. Maybe it would be boring to a sensitive, seeker-oriented person, but it thrills me to read of your non-critical events. I'm especially happy for your news of another baby on the way. Along with your other 3, this baby is blessed already with a father who will be true to the Word. Congratulations!

One of these days, I intend to run down to Aurora from Boulder (where I work) to hear God speak through you.

Hey Bryan,
We've never met but I've always appreciated listening to you when you've been on IE. My wife has some relatives in Aurora (sadly non-Lutheran) so if we're ever there visiting we'll have to join you in Divine Service on a Sunday morning.
In the meantime - please try to keep Charlie Lehmann (Ft. Collins) out of trouble if you are able!

Pastor Wolfmueller,

Your Bible Study materials received another endorsement by me here.

Elizabeth, a member of the WT was inquiring about resources for Bible Studies for her Jr. and Sr. Youth and I suggested she take a look at your stuff, and provided a link to your congregation's Bible Study page, since the studies have been a robust resource for us. As I told Elizabeth, good Bible Study is not age or gender specific.

Blessings in Christ,

PS. With my first name (it was my great grandmother's) I am often told I share it with whoever I'm speaking to's mother, grandmother, or a favorite aunt.
