Pastor - Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Pasadena
Swell Guy, Salt of the earth, one groovy dude.

Seriously though, if I were not justified by God's grace given me freely, I would be so screwed. The Lutheran Confessions brought with them comfort and the sure confidence of my salvation.

I grew up a fundagelical and I was tormented by the law. When the Gospel took root, I knew then that all was well between Jesus and me. Thanks be to God that He sent His Son to take my punishment. This is why I am a Lutheran and this is why I am a pastor.

Now for the important stuff.
I like long walks on the beach, theology, wine, guns, masked midget wrestling, cigars, Martin Luther and puppy dogs. I like my wife too - she's kinda cute. :-) Most of all, the One who set me free from death and the grave - Christ Jesus.

Pr. Donofrio, good to see you on the WT. I enjoyed your article about the Romans 7 dilemma in the IE Journal Wittenberg Trail (I believe the final issue). I didn't know you were such a "rocker" in your youth when we visited Mt. Olive some time ago! Please keep Mt. Olive "Steadfast in the Word" as I remembered it back in the 1950's when I went to Parochial School there.

PS: You mean Pasadena, CA; not Pasadena, TX, right?

Well, thanks. Do we have a growth movement here? Soon we can elect our own... ooops! My foot is in my mouth, and I don't have too many teeth left.

Craig, would you please come and do a Saturday seminar on how to transition our little maintenance church into a big missional church like yours?!

Hi Craig! Yes, I will be your friend. Now that you are my friend, can I borrow some money? Pray about it. :-)

Craig, that clip you have on the guy who wants a real chaplain is fantastic. What a powerful denunciation of post modernism! Every field worker, vicar, seminary student should see this. And we pastors should look at it once a month to remind us of what we're here for.

I agree with Flo. I don't watch that particular show, but I ran accross that clip a few months ago and have it bookmarked. Good stuff!
