Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. Movie Discussion Guide

Here is a discussion guide I created for the movie Expelled. I claim responsibility for any grammatical, factual, or logical errors, but you are free to use it for yourself if you find it helpful. The six numbered questions near the end came from an online movie review. You can get the Word file from the link below, which has some of the footnotes that the blog text below chopped out. Let me know if you find it useful or helpful!

Josh, so good to see your old mug, even if only by dots and pixels on this devil of a machine! How are things? Where are you these days? Send me words brother.

Pastor Schneider! Aloha! How are you? Oh--remember me? My last name was Nichols...I just got married last May.

Have you learned to surf in Hawaii? How's the congregation?

Hey Ray, David, & Melissa (of course I remember! :) )Congratulations on your marriage! I have learned to surf...but I'm far from mastering it. I haven't gone for several months, and last time I went I got trashed by the waves several times then cut up my feet really bad on coral... :( and had to preach the next day, standing on shredded feet (ouch!). But I've had a lot of fun with it. I think I'm better at other stuff. The church is going well, and people have been great to me here. Ray, I'm not so tan as you'd think, because believe it or not, I rarely go to the beach! Busy busy! But I do get to enjoy the outdoors 365 days a year. Mostly I enjoy the hiking and natural beauty. I'm also beginning to learn scuba, and that's pretty awesome. And David...I'm still here in Wailuku on Maui. I've been teaching these two years in the grade school, and will be leaving that position to be full-time associate pastor this summer. Thanks for checking in everyone, I feel a little distant from you all ;-D

Josh, it's good to hear from you buddy. Looks like the island life is treating you well. The family's good, Gretal has settled in and made some close friends here in Dwight. My folks are in the process of finding a new church, but other than that, doing well. My sister is currently outside of Branson, but has a call (perhaps 2) to the Chicago area for DCO. She's a little unsure right now of what she wants to do.

Take care,

Jake

Pastor Schneider,
It's good to see your face. I hope things are good there in Hawaii. I'm serving my vicarage in Seattle, WA. Things are going wonderfully.
Blessings!
