I am the pastor of Zion Lutheran Church and School in Staunton, IL. I strive to be faithful to my Lord's Call. As a member of the LCMS, it sometimes becomes very difficult to be faithful without losing heart. A like minded group of brothers and sisters in Christ is something I need for the sharing of our Biblical, Confessional, Liturgical heritage.
Greetings from an old classmate and fellow resident of the Wittenberg dormitory at CUW. How have you been? My family (wife Julie, and children Kate, Sam and Gwen) and I live in the Chicago area now. I ended up becoming cabinetmaker with a little knowledge of theology, sounds like a dangerous thing, doesn't it?
I enjoyed listening to you on the Bible Study last week. I was excited for you to hear that you will be leading our congress in prayer next month. I am also glad to see you are serving a parish down in the SID. We used to belong to a congregation in your district and sure do miss it. Considering the present state of the church, I am afraid I can relate all to well with your comment on the difficulty of being faithful without losing heart. Never fear though, Jesus Christ our Lord is faithful.
Let me know what else has been going on with you. I look forward to hearing from you.
