OOPS - mistakes were made and the old group got deleted, but we're back - still irate over the direction that the LCMS has taken. Lets pick up where we left off - and apologies to all for erasing this board - LovejoySee More

Loren and Gloria,
Thanks so much for thinking of me on my birthday. I have now added you guys as friends! Take care and see you Sunday.
Blessings,
Pastor
Tell us about yourself ( e.g. hobbies, education, projects you are working on, etc.). What brings you to the Wittenberg Trail?
I am Pastor Raymond A. Smith and I serve the LORD'S people at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville, MN. To find Ortonville on the map go to extreme west-central Minnesota where the "elbow" juts westward into South Dakota, there you will find tiny, but beautiful Ortonville at the southern end of Big Stone Lake, the head waters for the Minnesota River.
I am joyfully married to the most wonderful woman in the world, Linda, for 19 years this year. We have two great kids, Jason a Minnestoda National Guard volunteer, and Bonnie-Joy a sophomore. We also have two dogs - Lucy and Sally (yes, we are Peanuts fans!).
I have been a life-long LCMS Lutheran (Baptized 3.3.68 and Confirmed 5.16.82 and Ordained 6.4.06 all at Emmaus Lutheran Church and School Indianapolis)
Proud graduate of THE (like the college players say it!) Concordia Theological Seminary class of '06
I am here because Rev. Paul McCain told me to be here!
Ray, great to hear from you. It was nice to see you as part of this group. After 10 years at the seminary I'm loving the parish. The kids have made the adjustment and Susie is busy with various church activities. Pray that you and your family are doing well. Stay in touch. Would love to chat sometime. Pax, Scott
Ray,
It was real good to see you at the symposia. I am sorry we did not get together more often. Maybe we can plan so stuff for next year or just do something else.
Ray
All is well here. It was nice to get your Christmas newsletter. I have to say we think of you often, especially in that long Pre-Advent season of National Nutcracker Days! ;-)
Hey Ray. Great to hear from you! I was planning on going to the Symposia, but my wife is in her last few weeks of pregnancy and on bed rest. She and baby are fine, but I couldn't leave her. I pray that all is going well with you and your family.
Thanks for the prayers, Ray. Glad to hear things are well in Minnesota. Are you anywhere near Chris Davis? If you see him, say hello from me. I'm in Dorr, Michigan. The Lord has blessed me with this congregation. We're having a great time. Here's hoping we'll see you at the next Symposia. The Lord be with you.
Jon
Ray, I am not sure. It sounded as if most of them were going to use vespers though. Rob, Dennis, Thaine, you and myself, and I believe Odessa have the LSB. Correll has LW and Shible has TLH. I didn't really answer your question, but hope that helps.
Blessings,
Don
Hello, Pastor Smith. It was nice seeing you and your wife earlier in January. Wish we had more time to get to know each other. Although, maybe you've already had plenty of time to get to know Don and would rather not pursue it farther than you have to. :-)
Friar Smith,
You've sure been quiet lately. Hope your winter is going great. Are you in any discussions on the trail? Please try come to Zion-Alex for our passion drama on Palm Sunday, 2-5, or Tues, 5:30-8:00. It's a 15 minute walk through. We're praying for good weather. It's so early this year. go to passiondrama.com for more info.
Blessings, Kari
