I'm a confessionally-Lutheran husband, father of four, and pastor of a dual parish in Southwest Minnesota, and last but not least, a die hard Packer fan. I did my undergrad at Concordia-Mequon, WI, and received my M.Div Degree from Concordia, St. Catharines, Ontario in 1999. I joined this site because my wife is a Lutheran Blog addict and keeps mentioning various interesting discussions happening on this Wittenberg Trail site. (Ok, also because I want to be as hip, kool, and in the know as my wife is.)

There are both soteriological (at least to some measure) and eschatological elements of that, to be sure. You are very gracous in yoru offer of a place to visit -- I rather doubt that we'll be up that way, but you never know . . . I certainly do hope/pray that the Lord causes our paths to cross LOTS - especially on the WT if nowhere else. Roger Abernathey sends you greetigs (he's across the table from me right now) -- I asked him to "grade' you -- he said "C".LOL You of coruse know better!

Well, quail and pheasant hunting WAS great stuff when we lived in Iowa for 5 long winters. I know that there are beautiful seasons up there. When we lived in central Iowa, i also drove a school bus as a part of my presonal community service -- besides watching the quail run in the ditches on the country roads, and seeing drop dead fantastic sunrises, I also had a young bald eagle who swooped over my school bus most mornings. You never know, Steve . . . we just might surprise y'all sometime! :-) And, yeah, to be complimented by Roger IS to receive high praise -- that's my opinion, too! Peace!
