Thanks for finding me. We are looking forward to April 22nd! Everything is well in Arizona. We are celebrating Easter this year with everyone healthy (except for the allergies of course).

I sure do, Bob. I thought you might be back this year. You were such a wonderful helper!

Yes, I'm there frequently. The research you helped me with finally resulted in an article for CHIQ, Summer 2007 (I thanked you in footnote 5!). A second article just appeared in Winter 2007. So I'm busy in the archives and with the auxiliary group.

What are you up to and where are you?

Hey Bob!! I'm loaded this quarter with three exegeticals, John & Catholics, Former Prophets, and Old Testament for Today. I'm also in Man Woman and Christ, Religious Bodies, and a lectionary to top off 16 credits. It's actually a lot easier so far than I thought it would be. The only problem with my classes is this guy who's in Jn & Catholics with me. He sits to my far right and just continues to disrupt the class with his crazy talk. lol

Ahh Call Day.... I must say I am extremely excited about call day 384 days from now... I'm staying another year to get an STM. I realized that now is the best time to do it, and otherwise I just might not. The kids are young, my wife's cool with it, it's free, etc. So I am very excited to take the courses this next year, and at time same time sad that I have to wait a year. But it's only one year!!

How about you and your family? Doing well? Excited for April 22nd?

Good to hear your fam is doing well.

I would love to do a PhD. A dissertation actually sounds exciting to me, and originally I was going to stay open to doing that in the future, but (no wait it needs to be a bigger but), BUT I've decided that I'll only pursue that if I get a job teaching, which too me seems like a long shot. My fam couldn't handle more than one extra year, and frankly, I'm just not as smart as most of the PhD guys here (and MDIV for that matter - especially this Bob Sunquist character). I just enjoy it a lot so I'm excited about the STM.
