Tony, I noticed you said that you're looking for anything on Lutheran theology. I read "Dying to Live: the Power of Forgiveness" & Sanctification" both by Harold Senkbeil. I thought those good. I'm reading Klemet Pruess book called "The Fire & the Staff" right now. That's a good one for Lutheran Theology. These came highly recommended to me. Also Gene Veith's book "The Spirituality of the Cross" Haven't read that one yet though.
Blessings! Kari

Great to hear! I think the pastor is Pr Lawson. I like his comments on the MNNO Faithful link I'm on. I hope to meet him some day.
Bless you, & your beautiful family,
Kari

Hey Tony,

I went to Westmont College in the '70s and met the two men that would forever change my view of Christianity. Robert Gaertig my roommate and Dr. Rod Rosenbladt. Both, of whom I am fast friends with now.

You?

Well, my family was Roman Catholic for the first ten years of my life until we started attending a Protestant nondenominational church. I didn't become a Lutheran until 2005. It was then I began to do some internet research, and though I had known for years that we aren't saved by works, it was only when I started to investigate Lutheranism that I realized that we are all sinners and that Christ had lived the perfect life we can't and had died on the cross to pay for our sins. It was then that I realised that the Lutheran church was the Church that I wanted to belong to.

Dear Tony,

I got on the Wittenberg Trail (not the site) around a dozen years ago, while I was at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. It is quite a struggle sometimes to find a "real" Lutheran church. God's richest blessings on your catechesis and your work with WOTM radio.

Tony, The Ablaze!® bracelets aren't a childish toy with which to decode messages. This is serious stuff. The bracelet is meant to ward off evil, just like the Mormon's undergarments do. I'm told that wearing the wristband is the equivalent of 25 "Hail Mary's," plus $50 worth of indulgences, but I haven't been able to confirm that on the Ablaze!® website yet.

Tony,
Glad you liked the video. I laughed and felt a bit conflicted as well, always taking comfort in the fact that God is faithful to their baptism, and that "where there is life, there is hope."

My presence here is rather hit and miss lately (we went to Wisconsin for a week to see our two sons at Concordia Mequon - one just graduated, the other is going to be a junior) and another son is getting ready to graduate from high school here, after baseball tourneys are over.

By the way, you're a media/radio guy aren't you? Christopher got his degree in "Multi-media Communications", and he is a member of the Wittenberg Trail, maybe you two would have all kinds of stuff to talk about, though it looks like you have a lot more experience.

You need to be a member of The Wittenberg Trail to add comments!
